Our Place “Always Pan” — Honest Review

Do you ever see an ad so many times, on so many platforms, that you finally cave and make a purchase? That was the case with this pan. Did I need a pan? No. Do I regret that the algorithm bullied me into buying one? Also no…but I do have some thoughts.

After a full year with this pan, here is my honest review.

The “Always Pan” claims to do it all. Non-stick, eco-friendly, and meant to replace your frying pan, sauté pan, steamer, skillet, sauce pan, and more. But more than anything, it’s an aesthetically pleasing addition to any stove top (including induction stoves!).

It comes in a several trendy colors, with rotating seasonal hues that always sell out.

Initially I wanted the pink one, for no other reason than it’s pretty. But I settled on “Sage” to go with all my beautiful plants. Right out of the box, the pan is even prettier in person. It comes with a steamer basket, a wood spatula, and a gentle eco sponge.

I have never owned a fancy pan before, so seeing the non-stick in action was pretty amazing. It really can cook just about anything without it sticking! Right away, the pan did as it claimed – replacing most of my other pots and pan. I gave away my retired cookware through my local “buy nothing” group, which definitely cut down on clutter.

One of the best parts, is how easy it is to clean. While it’s not dish-washer recommended, the pan cleans out in a breeze because of how non-stick it is. Most things you throw at it can just be wiped clean. Occasionally, I’ll burn something on pretty good and it needs a gentle scrub.

Now for the few cons. While it’s not a must, I do wish it was oven-safe. For a pan that claims to do-it-all, this really would be a great option! Thankfully I don’t need that feature very often, except when I’m in the mood for Dutch babies.

My other complaint is that only part of the handle is heat-resistant. I have burned my hand a few times when grabbing too low on the handle. I’ve gotten more careful with where to grip it now, but it seems like a bit of a design flaw.

The price point is also pretty high ($145), but I snagged it on sale for $99. There are definitely similar pans on the market for cheaper. I’m sure other pans could do the same job as far as non-stickability, but could they look this pretty doing it?? I think the extra money was worth it for that pop of happiness I get every time I see it on the stovetop.

Once the Terracotta color was released, I couldn’t get it out of my head. It turned out, my mom also had been inundated with ads for the pan. So convinced her to get one and trade with me. I can’t get over the color, it’s perfect!!

What do you think, is the pan worth the hype?

TLDR: Pros: Amazing eco-friendly non-stick surface, easy to clean, beautiful design. Cons: Part of the handle can get hot, not oven- or dishwasher-safe.
